Our Primary Program is for children ages three to six years who
are fully potty trained. It is distinguished by a core curriculum
within which each child acquires and applies a breadth of skills
during a three-year learning "cycle." These years nurture the
growth of children's independence, self-esteem and self-discipline
while introducing children to the basics of academics.
Practical Life
The children learn to care for themselves and their
environment.
Sensorial
Sensorial helps children to order, classify and explore their
sensory impressions.
Language
This is based on phonics with concrete lessons to learn the sounds
that go with letter symbols, to group letters together, to make
words, to read and to begin creative writing.
Mathematics
Children learn that number symbols have a quantitative meaning and
learn the processes involved in the basic operations such as
addition and subtraction, as well as time concepts.
Cultural
Children learn about the world around them including planet Earth,
continents, land forms, animal and plant classification, as well as
peoples and cultures of the world.
The Primary Program is a special and unique environment where
children establish the foundation for all future social
relationships. Through grace and courtesy lessons they learn how to
successfully interact with peers and begin to acquire the
communication skills that will give them success in life.
Primary students are either half or full day, arriving at 8:00
a.m. and staying until 11:00 a.m. or 3:10 p.m. (with the expection
of early dismissal each Friday at 2:10 p.m.). Primary students
