Board of Directors
The Montessori School Board of Directors provides strategic
leadership in support of the school's mission. The board makes
long-term decisions, provides financial management and retains a
strong Head of School to ensure an excellent Montessori education
for current and future students. An unpaid, self-perpetuating
Board of Directors of between five and nine members
governs The Montessori School. This mission is to preserve and
protect the long-term health and well being of the institution. The
sole employee of the Board of Directors is the Head of School, who
is engaged to oversee the day-to-day operation of the School, to be
its educational leader, and to carry out institutional and
instructional Board policy. The Montessori School's decision-making
structure is not hierarchical but highly collaborative, with
faculty and staff broadly involved in decisions regarding
program.
