Conscious Discipline - MPATT Meeting
6:00 PM - 8:00 PM
MPATT stands for Montessori Parents and Teachers Together. It is our version of a PTA, but much more interactive. MPATT meetings are opportunities for parents and staff to work together so that home and school function in tandem, creating an optimal learning environment for the child. Meetings center around topics that are important to parents and help them learn how to maximize their child’s potential, just like we do at school. Child care will be available during the meeting. This meeting, led by parent Jenny Chaffey and Mrs. Core, Monday, February 6th from 6pm to 8pm and titled Conscious Discipline. We will discuss strategies to help your child control anger and be more helpful, assertive, cooperative, and empathetic while at the same time learning self-control and problem solving skills.

Primary V-Day Party
9:30 AM - 11:00 AM
Valentine’s Day is the only holiday formally celebrated at The Montessori School. This is a chance for our students to party hard and have a great time. Although the teachers set some guidelines, these parties are planned by the parents. A few weeks before the parties, a classroom chairperson will contact families for monetary donations, volunteers to set up games or booths, or to provide refreshments. Don’t worry, though, we don’t make it all about the candy. Even on this “chocoholic” day we try to maintain some semblance of nutrition by offering students things like fresh fruit, graham crackers, popcorn, etc.
Make plans to get involved in your student’s class party!
